Homag Brandt 1110 Ambition Edgebander

This morning I will be travelling to Derby visiting the Homag UK Innovation day. The main purpose for this trip is to see the new Brandt Ambition 1110 edge bander in action.

As part of our on-going development we plan to bring a state of the art edgebander into our workshop allowing us to provide a larger range of edge materials to our customers.

Every bedroom we design goes through a CAD system, this means we can draw to scale furniture plans. Once a bedroom has been planned out the image is sent to a photo renderer to produce the final image. Follow the link below for Inspiration.

2011 Bedroom Trends

In previous years the development of materials has been focused primarily on uni colours (Ivory and Vanilla) or wood grains (Wild Pear and Autumn Plum). Textured finishes until now have been a distant consideration. Over the past 6 – 8 months development in Textured surface finishes has been increased to meet the growing demand and we have seen the addition of Hacienda Black and White along with Driftwood to our range. With the introduction of textured surfaces this has given the decors more tactile depth and also added realism, bringing them closer to real wood veneer.

Our focus has been to make surface finishes and the decors more touchable, more “tactile” and ultimately more natural.
